Title: Sunday randomness
Music du jour: some random Hercules: The Legendary Journeys episode

This is scaring me. Ian is CLEANING. Like, with a vacuum cleaner and everything. Eep. So far he's vacuumed the bedroom and we've moved the old chest of drawers out of the extra bedroom into here. Which is good, because we need some place to put the clean clothes. I think this sums up the situations nicely (from Eagle's Nest BBS just now):

marcie: morning slay
Slayer: hi
marcie: ian is cleaning
marcie: i'm scared
marcie: hold me
Slayer locks marcie in the closet
Slayer: why aren't you helping him, you lazy
	  good for nothing slay^Wwench
marcie: hmph
marcie: i already helped him for a whole 10 mnutes
marcie: i'm exhausted now
Slayer: oh dear god
Slayer: go take a nap NOW
marcie: damn straight

Did I ever mention I'm a lazy shit? I thought so.

I should treat you kids to a nice, long entry today, shouldn't I? Since I've been a slacker about updating Penguin Dust and all. So let's see what I can come up with. Right now I'm sitting here watching the tail end of today's Hercules and eating tuna fish with crackers. Mmm mmm good. Xena is coming up next, which means I get to see lovely women in leather. Let's see... ooh, it looks like today's episode is "A Family Affair." That episode warms the cockles of my cold little heart every time I see it, especially following Gabrielle's plunge into a lava pit. Gets me every time. *sniff* I must say about Joxer: for all his faults, he does really love Gabby. Okay, that's enough of Xena Geek Mode. *ahem* Scuse me.

Well, it looks like my latest project is going to be learning to play ice hockey. Scary, no? I went to a Hockey 101 class on Friday at work and I think I'm going to sign up for the six week clinic. It looks like it'll be fun. What better sport to take your aggressions out on than hockey, I say. At the very least, I'll learn how to stand up on the ice with skates on and not fall on my ass.

Speaking of ice, I am SO ready for autumn. Summer is on its way out the door in Colorado. I remember it snowed on Labor Day in 1993, and I always hope for a repeat. Probably just wishful thinking, but what the hell; I enjoy hoping. I want snow by my birthday, dammit (9 October). It's time for it to quit being hot, especially since I don't have air conditioning in my house. Although I suspect any of our east coast buddies would come after me for a statement like that; at least it's been raining here. Every day for three weeks, in fact. Whee.

In other news, I'm considering renting out my extra room, since it's not getting used and I don't think my sister is coming back. If you're in the Denver area and you're looking for a place to hang out -- and you don't mind living with a couple of geeks -- check it out and see what you think.

Yawn. Xena is almost over, so I think I'm going to see about a shower or something, and then we may amble over to see what Jason's doing. I gotta write Cynthia first, though. Off I go.

-- marcie.
