Title: A small interlude

A conversation between Cynthia and me on the phone last night:

Cynthia: "Do you think if I squished my psychology book against my head that I'd learn by osmosis?"

Marcie: "You know, I tried that in college... it didn't work for me. "

C: "Oh really?"

M: "Yeah. Of course, it was probably because I didn't have tests, but I had an art portfolio I had to do. It wouldn't do itself for some reason."

C: "Well, damn it all!"

M: "I know. I tell ya... as much as we PAY for SCHOOL!"

C: "And then they expect us to WORK? What's up with that shit?!?"

M: *laughter*
