Title: Finally snowing again
Music du jour: Dave Matthews Band, "Crush" (the video)

Wooo!! It's snowing! Well, not just at the moment, but it's been snowing since last night well into the day today. We have a nice crystal blanket of snow on the ground. I am digging it hard. So is the dog, from all indications. We went for a walk last night when the snow was coming down pretty hard and took Artemis with us. She was frolicking -- there is no other word for it -- romping around, snuffing at the snow, and chasing snowballs Ian would throw for her. Apparently the mutt likes to eat snowballs. Ian was feeding them to her, to my great amusement. We wandered up to the Total where Bill is working and hassled him for a while. (As an aside, I'd just like to say that when someone taking my money has tons of metal in her face, I get disturbed. I must be getting old. Oh well.)

It's gone dark outside and it's only 5:00. GOD, I love winter.

In other news, I can see my floor again. This is very weird and it's freaking me out. Ian and I went on a cleaning spree again yesterday. The upstairs is (mostly) clean and the downstairs is next. The living room is the big project. It's still rather a no-man's land right now, because Ian ripped the carpet up a couple of weeks ago. The dog had pissed on it one too many times, so instead of killing the dog, we pulled the carpet up and blocked off the living room. We're going to start a slush fund for fixing up the house anyway, and the first contribution will be to get hardwood down in the living room. I'm thinking Pergo. It's going to take a bit of cash, but I think it'll be worth it when we go to sell -- and even before then, for that matter. I have Plans(tm) for my little townhouse. It's the first place I've ever really been able to call my own, and it's great to be able to do stuff like put up bookshelves all over one wall, which we did this spring. No landlord to answer to, ya know.

What else. Job stuff. I haven't checked my voice mail today, but I'm supposed to be getting a call from the Lockheed-Martin pukes and possibly a pimp dealing with Corporate Express. I haven't decided about the LM deal. It looks like a fun project, but it'll depend on how much moola they offer, I suppose. Weeee shall see.

Okay, I have Nifty Cynthia E-mail to answer and I must get something to eat. Then I'm going to look at the snow. You kids have fun.
