Title: I've got all this in-between
Hearing: Afro Celt Sound System, Volume 2: Release

You know, I hate it when I haven't written an entry in a solid week, and yet somehow I still have nothing to write about. Really, now.

Okay. So what's been happening, oh joyous one? Lessee here. We had an Outing(tm) the other day to the Indigo Girls concert (pun originally not intended, but what the hell). Me, Cynthia, Ian and Mike braved the traffic and occasional rain to scream, "EMILY! EMILY!! I LOVE YOU! MARRY ME!" and throw our panties on the stage. Wait, that was just me. Never mind.

It did, in fact, rain. This was not an inconvenience so much as a change of pace. Mike and I, although we were clad merely in T-shirts and jeans, turned our faces to the sky and caught raindrops on our tongues while dancing like three year old children. Cynthia lost her inhibitions momentarily and screamed like a femme when Amy and Emily broke into "Trouble". I slow-danced with my girlfriend to "Soon Be To Nothing", her head tucked blissfully under my chin and her arms around my waist. And Ian... well, Ian acted like a cat caught in a rainstorm, which I suppose he was, and bitched about the cold and wet. Ah well; not everyone can brave a little rain.

My only complaint about the concert was the opening acts (yes, ACTS, plural) were on for almost two hours, and the Indigo Girls themselves only played for an hour and a half. Pardon me for being picky, but shouldn't the headliner play longer than the opening act? Oh well. The main opener was a band called Spearhead. They were kind of a combination of funky reggae, hip-hop and soul. Man, did they ever rock. I want to smoke pot and talk abot the meaning of life with the lead singer.

Suffice it to say, the experience rocked. If I had more time and I wasn't feeling like left-over chewing gum stuck on someone's shoe, I'd write an enchanting review about how wonderful it was and how much it meant to me to be able to take Cynthia to her first Indigo Girls concert... but I think that will have to wait for now. I have many things to do tonight, not the least of which is eat something, so I must be going.
